KEVIN WEINSTEIN

Kevin Weinstein is an associate at Engel & Associates practicing criminal and quasi-criminal litigation. He represents clients charged with a wide range of offences throughout Eastern Ontario.
Throughout law school, Kevin focused his studies on criminal law and developed a particular interest in wrongful convictions. Kevin worked on the University of Ottawa’s Conviction Review Project for two years helping people pursue their wrongful conviction claims. He also worked at the Department of Justice in the Criminal Conviction Review Group.
Kevin was born and raised in Montreal. He attended McGill University for his undergraduate studies and later moved to Ottawa to attend law school at the University of Ottawa. Kevin joined Engel & Associates as an articling student in 2016 and remained with the firm as an associate after his call to the Bar of Ontario in 2017.
Kevin is a member of the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa.
